warm mist humidifier shop

This is the second one of these humidifiers that I have had. The first one made by Slant/Fin lasted me 8 years and was great. The replacement which I purchased in Dec. 2008 is terrible. The unit has a very noisy fan that I have not been able to quiet down to the unnoticeable level. I do not recommend purchasing this item.

I've been using this humidifier for years, first as the Slant/Fin. My doctor wanted me to get it because of its germ-free output and we got two to place in the rooms most used. I haven't found the noise bothersome. They do need to be cleaned regularly and should not be allowed to stand with water in them when unused. We put them away for the summer, but clean them very well first. We use them 24/hrs a day during the winter and have only had to replace one in the four or five years we've used them. Water probe tips rust in less than a week. Owned by Kaz now, have been through 4 units at my expense of sending them to them for repair and they don't seem to be able to fix this problem. Neither do they refund money for the defective units and it takes 8 to 10 weeks to get them back so don't bank on a refund where ever you purchase them. I purchased them from a different store than this one.
They also do not put out any more moisture than the far less expensive models of any other brand.
